Rindu

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Kaifa haalukum?

Sorry for being so silent nowadays, i got very busy lately since last week. Went to PD for ISO and Business Plan 2006. Rindu nak mencatat something di blog ini.

:)

(1) PD

How's PD,fun? Is that you all will be asking?

Hehe, to tell you the truth, we were so busy finishing our ISO documents and finalizing our BP that we did not even had the opportunity to step onto the beach sand, sarcastic huh?

Anyone of you who had ever went Sri Intan PD, you will know how near the beach is with TM chalet. We were all looking at the beach everyday, hoping that we could give a jump and swim, but it was not materialized till the last day we were at PD.Luckily i had the opportunity to swim in the swimming pool since all the 'mamat2' had went to play golf except for some who opted to rest at their own places rather than doing something else.

Sempat ler mengajar Kak Fida and Kak Ayin floating. Hehe.

(2) Photography session

Hehe, last Friday i had received a SMS from Kak Ika asking all ladies in my class to wear baju kurung for a photography session. I was wondering is there any special arrangement by UIA for having this session. I had no problem to wear since i was planning to attend Ainul's wedding on the same day.

Masuk kelas, all ladies in my class semua bergaya wearing their finest baju kurung and even kebaya. Rupanya they want to take class pictures since there is tendency that we are all not be together in one class again as we will be starting taking our own specialization next semester. My friends and I had already take our Strategic Management specialization subject during this semester.

We took pictures with Prof Mansur in the class, and then posing ourselves at the fountain of Mgmt Centre. Prof siap tanya, naper ambil gambar awal2 sedangkan kami akan grad setahun lagi.

Kak Liz selamba jer jawab "Sebab lambat lagi nak grad ler kami tangkap gambar ni Prof, lama sangat nak tunggu!" Hehe, best betul jawapan Kak Liz.

Actually if you all get to know my classmates, mmg kecoh2 insan2nya especially yg ladies. Kekadang Resource Room Mgmt Centre tu mcm kami yg punya biler time class break. Kesian batch2 lain dengar kekecohan kitorang ni.Tu belum part masuk dalam kelas lagi, jgn main2, sempat buat business lagi derang ni. Jual SKII ler, kuih raya ler, baju kelawar and even sutera. Aduh, mmg bebetul boleh buat duit derang nih. Fun betul ngan derang ni, dah mak2 orang pun gaya mcm bebudak lagi hehe.

(3) Majlis perkahwinan Ainul and Iznan

First time bertemu wajah setelah sekian lama berinteraksi secara virtual thru blog, YM dan telefon.

His wife recognized me since we were together in Pangkor last year handling program. Atuk looks fine to me, as always. Everytime i saw Atuk i will remember at this particular incident when we were water rafting at Sungai Kuala Kubu Baru, Selangor. I was assigned to a group where i was the only girl in that group. Atuk was with our group since we were the first group yang rafting. Our boat terbalik 2 kali, and the first one tu had caused my leg tersangkut di celah batu air terjun menyebabkan i screamed asking for help coz i can't breathe and move at all.

Bayangkan ek, kaki tersangkut di celah batu dengan air terjun turun mencurah2 kat muka and you can't move your body at all. Mmg kelam kabut ler sket time tu coz derang ingat i was hurt, and it was actually. Mmg panic time tu especially i dunno how to swim during that time, mmg ler bebetul panic. Biler my leg was safely removed from the rocks tu, Atuk held me and brought me to the river bank, berenang dgn gaya2 mmcm menyelamatkan org lemas. Klakar jek padahal takde ler lemas pun actually hehe.

The second time boat terbalik, nama yang pertama kali dipanggil was my name, coz bebudak ni takut anything happen to me. Best betul time tu sbb tetiba jadi special pulak, ye ler, dah kita sorang jek pompuan dlm boat tu, dapat ler special treatment sket. Water rafting mmg best :)

Wassalam.

The Choice

Assalamualaikum wbt,

:)

Kaifa haal semua? Moga semua sihat k.

Alhamdulillah saya juga sihat, ramai pula yg bertanya saya dah ok ker tidak drpd perasaan tak best.

Hmm..ok insya Allah. Hasil consultation dari rakan2 yg best :D

Semalam bertemu Fahmee dan Tapai di kantin, they had a meeting di JRC. Fahmee nak jumpa to return my books that i lent him couple of weeks ago. Habis makan Tapai selak2 buku The Choice, written by Allahyarham Ahmad Deedat.

And he asked one question about the issue of multi-versions available for kitab in Christianity and Quran (Quran has no version, it remains fixed for ages). People also had asked him what are the differences of practices between mazhab in Islam and the existing multi-versions of Bible according to Matthew, Luke and etc in Christianity. Why does Islam claim that its teachings is not been altered by anybody but on the other hand we do have Syiah, the 4 mazhab and abt other 70 groups with so many versions of teachings according to their own perspectives.

It was a good discussion for me actually. I have not think about these issue for quite sometime, and when Tapai raised the issue, yeah, it feel nice.

I won't explain too much on what we had discussed yesterday. Tapai borrowed my books at the end padahal buku Ahmad Deedat tu me myself tak pernah pun habis baca. Buku milik sendiri tapi orang lain yang pinjam and baca. Takpelahkan, at least ada ler jugak gunanya buku tu dr tersimpan sahaja di almari.

Alrite guys, i can't spend too much time blogging since skang ni so many works need to be completed. Next week FMD akan berkampung di PD for ISO kick off.Mungkin seminggu tak update blog kot :)

I wish all of you all the best dlm menjalani kehidupan seharian. Moga Allah meredhai segala pekerjaan yang kita lakukan.

Assalamualaikum :)

Cekal

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Kaifa haal antum?

Me?

Dun ask, you probably dun want to know what i'm facing rite now :)

But basically i got already my mid term for statistics, and i was so geram coz i managed to get full marks for 2 questions, 1 good marks for 1 question, and a VERY MEMBENCIKAN markah for another.

Aiyaa..i actually did expect that i will screw up this one particular question, ended up this question i get good marks, and the lowest marks was for the most confident question that i had answer for this paper.

Rugi markah betul, salah interprete soalan.

Takpe, still get chance to get A or at least A minus in the final as i scored very well for my assignment.

Keje, so-so. As i still feel x best since last month. Tak tau ler biler boleh jadi best balik bile time keje ni.

:)

(2)

Taufan Katrina. Sedikit ingin tertawa melihat bagaimana US handle this crisis.

Why is it so hard for them to handle this crisis, it is more or less similar to tsunami happened last year in Acheh, Bangladesh and etc. Not that efficient rupanya mereka ni. As compared to us, we are more systematic in handling this crisis. No wonder ada New Orleans residents get mad like nobody bussines and had sweared not to come back there again.

Hopefully they will get thru all this with high patience and perseverence for their own life survival.

That's all for now.

I need some spiritual 'injection' rite now.

Bak kata Iznan,

Cekal2...

Sahabat

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Sahabat,

Kufaham perasaan gundah gulanamu, kufaham perit sedihmu.

Sikap berdiammu membuat aku resah, sejak berbulan yang lalu.

Sabar yer, perbanyakkan sabar.

Tidak pasti dapat kuukur kesedihanmu,

Tapi benar-benar aku ingin melihat kau bahagia, tersenyum gembira.

Benar-benar aku berharap aku dapat bertemu lagi denganmu, mendengar suara halusmu, bertanya khabar dan bergurau senda.

Luka itu akan pergi, percayalah.

Aku tak mahu kehilanganmu sahabatku, walaupun usia perkenalan kita hanya sekejap cuma.

Khas untuk sahabat baikku Zura,UK.

Berkelana

Assalamualaikum wbt,

No dispute on that, i totally agree.

Walau bagaimana pun...

Sementara menunggu kiamat besar tiba, bukankah kita punya kiamat kecil yang entah biler akan menjenguk diri?

Mati...

Banyakkan persiapan diri masing-masing. Prioritizekan apa yang perlu :)

Kita cuma berkelana untuk sekejap sahaja...

Always remember that.

Wassalam.

Bulan 8 yang x best

Assalamualaikum wbt,

(1)

Huhu,

Bulan 8 mencatatkan sejarah paling hitam dalam kehidupan kerja saya sbb saya ada perang dingin dgn GM sampai buat saya bengang selama 3 minggu, nasib baik saya ada exam yang menyebabkan fokus saya ter'divert' ke tempat lain. Kalau tak mesti tension jek.

Dun worry, i'm not the first person yang declare perang dingin, Kak Fida and several others dah pernah declare pun.

Hehe.Biasa ler, perempuan ganas and hati batu mcm saya ni, tak heran kalau perihal gaduh2 ni. Dari kecik dah biasa gaduh ngan adik2 lelaki saya, so kalau dah besar lagi ler saya tak heran (hehe, statement yang berbahaya ni, ada yang kena buang keje ni kang).

Tapi skang ni ok, apatah lagi we are in the midst of preparing Business Plan 2006. So mmg kena byk interact ngan GM utk formulate strategy. Tahun ni GM ambil pendekatan baru, best jugaklah actually.

Bulan 8 ni juga menyaksikan saya buat keje yang tak pernah saya buat, tapi saya buat jugak demi ingin membantu salah seorang adik kesayangan saya. Bulan 8 ni bebetul banyak menduga kesabaran saya. Seriously, saya bebetul down pada bulan ini sebab saya gaduh ngan GM. Saya benci gaduh ngan org, sbb actually saya rasa tak best. It affects everything, even to my studies and personal life.

Moral of the story...

Next time jgn gaduh ngan GM, atau ngan sesaper pun hehe.

Other than that, sumer ok. Mid term pun ok, kehidupan alhamdulillah ok jugak.

Esok meeting di Menara. Hopefully sumer will be fine as planned.

Apa lagi nak citer yer? Actually lama tak update sbb bz sgt2 sbb skang ni tgh prepare Business Plan 2006, and assignment and project that need to be submitted this weekend and next weekend.

Salam Merdeka pada semua. Moga pemikiran kita semua pun merdeka juga, menjadi mereka yang bebas pemikiran dan akhlak, according to Islam.

Alhamdulillah, bulan 8 sudah berakhir...:D

(2)

Banyak lagi keje nak buat ;)

(3)

Really need financial support from you guys untuk membantu pembedahan ini.

His name is Ekram, and he is a brother to us in Islam walaupun tiada pertalian darah.

Sekiranya ingin menyumbang, boleh e mail atau msg saya personally as saya rasa kurang selesa nak release bank account di sini. I can provide you the details of the patient if you insist via e mail or YM.

E-mail address: iena_panadol@yahoo.com
YM! : iena_panadol

Saya menyeru antum menyumbang sekiranya berkemampuan. Sama2 kita doakan kesihatan Ekram pulih seperti biasa.

Wassalam.

GM oh GM!

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Saya tersenyum membaca reply Hany di tag boardnya:

iena: isk isk hany, naper lama tak update blog nih?

HanyFF: ainurul!!! w'salam wbt apa kabar, lama x jumpa! datang2la selalu . siti, hany kena hukum. kerja sampai mati bosan! ada sesiapa nak lepaskan saya?

iena: sabar yer hany, you are not the one yg rasa mcm tu, huhu

HanyFF: segala rasa yg siti tulis dlm blog dulu, semua dah rasa..

:)

Perlu menjadi sangat teliti, critical (sbb GM akan tanya why the trend is like this and not like that), perlu pandai buat forecasting, perlu expert dalam semua bidang kerja dan teknologi sedia ada.

Report, analysis, slide presentation, meeting, strategy, etc etc.

:)

Mengeluh pun tidak guna. Bak kata Donald Trump (i like this fella, reading his books made me learnt so much about life) "Do love your job, because you still have to deliver regardless you like it or not."

Nak tak nak, kena 'cinta'kan keje yg kita buat skang ni. Believe me, to all of you yg keje direct bawah GM, you will learn a lot about leadership and life perspective from them. Compared to us, they had passed thru this life longer and perhaps better, becoz we are greener than them. Try to benefit as much as we can from them, and hopefully one day we can become at par with them, if not better.

Hany, kita harungi ini bersama-sama k, kecuali kalau Zainal rasa dia nak 'import' kita masuk Change Management Office. Keje ngan Ismail Nordin best jugak, kan? Hehe ;)

Dilemma

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Mencoret sebentar sebelum menunaikan solat Zuhr, kerana tiba-tiba idea banyak mencurah di kepala.

Pernah merasa diri anda rasa bersalah kerana merasa anda punya kerehatan yang tidak sepatutnya?

Kini saya merasakannya, sejak bulan lepas.

Especially selepas saya berehat sementara dr bergiat dgn Nisa'.

I lost my way already, my focus in life has been diverted to somewhere else.

And now i realized that clearly, which i didn't before for the past several months.

Ah, terlupa saya kita punya misi.

Berikut ini marilah kita perhatikan suatu kisah yang dapat dijadikan iktibar kepada kita;

Being happy doesn’t mean everything’s’ perfect, it just means you’ve decided to see beyond the imperfections………..

Mata Garfield

Assalamualaikum and greetings,

I'm in in the middle of exam week rite now, same like Rollie.

How was my Strategic Mgmt paper on last Sunday?

Funny actually, very2 funny. I woke up at 2 a.m on Sunday to have my last revision on the subject, and the paper was at 9 a.m. No problem with that actually as i used to do that since kat U dulu selagi rasa tak yakin boleh jawab paper dgn baik.

The total marks for my paper is 80, which half of it is meant for 4 short questions which were mostly derived from the text book, and i am confident that i can get the 40 marks straight away, insya Allah as the questions were not that hard. Tapi kelakar gaklaa sbb ada satu soalan tu dia tanya ttg core competency TM (core competency ni adalah capabilities yg dimiliki oleh TM yang boleh dijadikan competitive advantages against rivals), it was so sad that i couldn't figure out even one for TM! So sad actually, at least if the question had asked me to pick up any company in Malaysia and shall i pick up Maxis, i would be happily tell that they are excellent in providing good customer service. But the question was asking me to explain the core competency of the company that i am working now, and i could not lie to Prof as he knows me very well that i am working in TM, and even had requested for my help for his house phone installation when i was in my first semester!

Soalan senang tapi tak tau apa nak jawab, pk pk apa bende nak goreng pasal TM punya core competency. Tapi rasanya tak baik tipu, nanti malu jer ngan Prof. So ambil ler soalan lain. Sedih betul. Perhaps TM is good at something that i am not aware of,mana tahukan. Kesian TM dpt pekerja like me yg ignorant ttg company sendiri nih, hehe.

Another 40 marks was meant for study case, yang kelakarnya, kami tak mampu nak produce jawapan panjang2. Confuse jek rasanya, betul ker soalan ni 20 markah setiap satu nih (case study ni ada 2 subset questions) , sbbnya jawapan dia mmg pendek sgt2. 3 baris jek dah habis, tak tau nak expand mcm mana dah. Utk satu case study yang 40 markah tu, kitorang cuma mampu produce less than 1 page of answer sheet. Cuba bayangkan, logik tak 40 markah tapi jawapan tak sampai sehelai kertas pun. Memasing confuse biler kuar dr exam, tak tau betul ker tidak mark allocation tu. Kalau ler dibuatnya salah, free2 jek hilang markah mcm tu jek. Minta-mintalah Prof terima my answer, ameen.

Rite after exam, lunch di JJ Wangsamaju with Kak Ika (my classmate), and after that visit rumah sewa baru Ika@Zu (nama manja Zulaikha Mohd Basir) :P. Better dr rumah yang lama, rumah baru ni is more refreshing. Sampai2 jek Ika dah suh lari 3.5 km utk program Angkasawan tu. Tapi mmg takkan lari pun utk program tu, tgh sakit kepala dgn keje skang ni :)

Ika masak my favourite, syukran Tikot sbb masakkan makanan yg best2 :). She cooked for me daging masak blackpepper (my fav), sup sayur and agar2 buah. Terkejut biler dpt tau dia masak special sbb me nak dtg, best best. Pasnih saper nak merasa masakan best Ika, leh berkunjung umah sewa dia ek hehe.

Dah 3 tahun tinggalkan MMU, dah banyak bangunan naik di Putrajaya and Cyberjaya. I was sitting there alone, looking at the scenery, tgk puas2 dan kemudian pergi menyinggah ke bangunan STAD menjenguk bilik SRC, tempat me, Ika and Zainal bertapa dulu. Mmg exco lain dah faham, kalau time exam jer SU derang ni takkan menunjukkan diri hehe.

Sampai skang pun begitu, kalau ler melarikan diri dr keje dibenarkan, mmg akan beruzlah ke mana2 yg dirasakan sesuai utk my exam ni. Tapi i am not entitled for cuti belajar sbb i did not apply for TM scholarship for my MBA. I reluctant to take becoz i will have to continue my bonding contract with TM for another 3 years if i do so,if not mistaken. And that will be the last thing that i want to do in life rite now. Tak nak sambung contract dgn TM actually sbb i want to quit and do something else asap. Rasa mcm nak ambil cuti belajar and concentrate on study jek skang ni. Tgh in heavy pressure gak ni actually sbb ada MCM Fraud 1 Sept ni, everytime ada MCM Fraud jer mmg life akan jadi bz sgt2 sbb nak compile reports for 2 months.

Rabu ni kena kuar report and slide presentation MCM, and Sabtu ni ada mid term Quantitative Decision Making (QDM). Belajar ttg Statistic dan kena pandai buat conclusion drpd outcome tu. Dulu ingatkan Finance susah, tapi rasanya subject ni lagi killer. Calculationnya senang jek, tapi kalau dpt soalan mmg tak tau nak start dr mana sbb susah nak tafsir soalan nak apa sebenarnya. Calculation senang tapi tak reti nak define apa yg dia nak, tak guna jugak. Khamis ni cuti and akan ke UIA, nasib baik GM approve cuti walaupun predict dia takkan luluskan. Alhamdulillah. Tapi Jumaat kena keje balik, tak bestnya. Takpe, if i manage to attempt all past year questions by this Thursday, should be ok kot. Ramai classmates nak bercuti n datang UIA pada Khamis tu, kena join gak derang so that kalau tak faham leh tanya straight away.

Ok guys, kepala dah pening dah actually ni. Tak cukup tidur, nak kena tidur awal hari ni.

Assalamualaikum wbt :)

Life

Assalamualaikum wbt,

:)

Subhanallah, kita masih berpeluang bertemu di sini sambil menghirup udara yang tak berapa segar (sbb jerebu), but we still have chance to live, to stay with our beloved ones, and ultimately to be grateful and still have chance to repent ourselves to get rahmah wa maghfirah from our ultimate love in life, which is Allah swt.

Life is short, so short that i am afraid i could not fulfill my tasks as a good daughter, sister, friend, colluege, subordinate, boss or just simply an ordinary person that should perform better in every aspect of my life.

I had so much weaknesses in me, and i admit that, and i know you guys also have your own. But let's not forget that there is still time for us to always reflect ourselves (muhasabah) and work for improvement, as life itself is a school that teach us a lot about life survival, dream fulfillments, goal achievements and ect. Along the journey, we had faced so many things that had passed thru our path, and had built and developed ourselves to become better, if it's not wiser.

If we really2 look deep into ourselves, starting from when we were babies, until the breath that we are taking now, there were so many things that could make you laugh for some 'immature' actions that we had taken during our life, and some were so sad and stressful that had made us become stronger from time to time.

Masya Allah, we had been given opportunity to have all this in life, and the most important thing is that, we had been selected to be in islam and iman since we were born (alhamdulillah), and i believe most of us had kept some jealousy towards those reverts (from other religions reverted to Islam) as Allah had clearly show them His way, had bestow them with His rahmah, how lucky they are! Just how lucky!

We are also lucky, provided we are holding steadfastly to Allah. Be a good muslim and mukmin, and always pray for our safety now and hereafter.

Walk together beside me my dear friends, for i am so weak and vulnerable to commit sins. Hold my hands tight, as i am not strong to face this world alone without strength by Allah and concern from you guys. Let's face this journey towards Allah in jama'ie in order to instill strengths among ourselves.

Don't forget about our brothers and sisters in other countries that are facing so many tribulations in life. They are tested with wars and bloodsheds, perhaps to measure their patience and kifaraah, whereas we are tested with harmony and wealth, to see whether we are grateful or not.

Alhamdulillah for i still had a chance to write like this as for quite sometimes i had no idea what to write.

Berkat hari Jumaat kot :)

Kena bersyukur

Among flowers, i like the sunflower the most becoz it gives me some sort of energy by looking at its striking refreshing yellow colour, eventho it does not has any romantic features on it as compared to tulips and roses.

I like sunflowers, and i was been mesmerized on how big and beautiful they can be actually. In UIA, in front of Mgmt Centre Building, you could see a garden of big, tall and lovely sunflowers. I had touched some of them by my fingers, and felt like want to pluck them out everytime i did that. But i was not that brutal to commit that so-called 'soft' crime, seriously :)

~actually part ni telah diedit dr berbau so demotivating to become something else~. Sbb tukar? Kena selalu2 bersyukur yer wahai diri :) Susah jadi anak/org manja+mengada2 ni, ada masalah sket dah terasa mcm masalah tu sebesar dunia, padahal takde paper pun sebenarnya, saja mengada2 :P

Ok guys, please pray for my success.Ahad ni i'll be having my first mid term on Strategic Mgmt. 5 chapters nak kena baca, satu pun belum bersentuh. Malam ni kena sentuh jugak at least 1 chapter.

:)

Jundullah

By Fatima Asmal, Islam Online Correspondent

DURBAN, South Africa, August 8, 2005 (IslamOnline.net) - Hundreds of people are expected to attend the funeral of South African caller to Islam Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, who passed away in the early hours Monday, August 8.

Sheikh Deedat, 87, passed away at his home in Trevennen Road, Verulam in the province of KwaZulu Natal at 7 a.m.

His son Yusuf told IOL that the cause of his death was heart failure.

The family was not in a state of shock, said Yusuf. “As Muslims we believe that every soul shall taste death.”

He added that the last moments of his father’s life were peaceful, and coincided with the commencement of a recitation of "Surah Yaseen" on an Islamic radio station.

“Channel Islam had just introduced and begun to play Surah Yaseen when the throes of death began,” he explained. “My father just looked at us and then passed away.”

Funeral

Sheikh Deedat will be buried in the Verulam cemetery after Salaatul-Maghrib (Maghreb prayers) Monday.

Hundreds of people from around the country are expected to participate in his funeral prayer, and his family says that people from across the world, such as India, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have been calling to convey their condolences.

“His death comes as a shock to us,” Maulana Ahmed Kathrada, of the Jamiatul ‘Ulama (Scholars' Group), a local theological body, told IOL.

He added that Sheikh Deedat had served not only South Africans, but the Muslim Ummah at large, for many years.

“We pray that Allah Grants him a lofty position in Jannah (Paradise), and that He Grants his family patience, especially his wife who has endured so much during the last few years.”

Dedicated Wife

He was bed-ridden for almost a decade.

Mrs Hawa Deedat, who had spent the last nine years nursing her husband and administering his daily injections, was present at her husband’s side at the time of his death, and she is well, said Yusuf.

“She is the wife of a soldier, and can therefore only be a soldier herself."

Several other religious leaders and political figures expressed their sadness at the news of Sheikh Deedat’s death.

Mr. Ashwin Trikamjee, president of the South African Hindu Maha Sabha, said that Sheikh Deedat would be missed by Muslims worldwide and the greater South African Muslim community.

“I think that the Islamic community has lost a great man, who was totally committed to the cause of Islam,” he said.

Mr. Trikamjee said that Sheikh Deedat had made a huge impact on constructive religious debate.

Mr Riaz Jamal, a director of the Al-Ansaar Foundation in Durban, South Africa, who had done a thesis on Sheikh Deedat as part of his Masters in Islamic Studies, said that there was a need for the Muslim and Christian worlds to continue to bring audiences together for religious debate and dialogue.

“Sheikh Ahmed Deedat was a global caller to Islam,” he said.

"I don’t think any other Muslim wrote to the Pope, inviting him to Islam, but Sheikh Deedat did. It’s our responsibility to continue in propagating his message.”

Sheikh Deedat’s health had been steadily deteriorating in the last few months after he had suffered various complications related to the lock in syndrome stroke which had left him paralysed and bed-ridden for almost a decade.

His death marks the end of an era of Da’wah in which his name became synonymous with breaking down inter-faith barriers.

His Life

Born on July 1, 1918, Sheikh Deedat arrived in South Africa, from India, as a nine-year-old in August 1927.

Although he hadn’t previously been exposed to the English language, he learnt it in six months, excelled at school and finished top of his class.

However, due to financial considerations, his father removed him from school during his early years of secondary schooling. He was sent to work in a store in a rural area, where his mission of Da’wah began.

Students from a Christian missionary school would visit the store preaching their beliefs to him, and knowing little more than the shahadah (testifying that no god but Allah and Muhammad is His prophet), he found it difficult to defend his beliefs.

He then stumbled upon a book which carried a religious dialogue between a Muslim imam and a Christian priest, and this proved to be the first of many books which he would read on the subject.

He began researching both religions and recording his findings in a notebook, after which he started delivering lectures in South Africa.

First Lecture

Deedat became famous for a debate with US Reverend Jimmy Swaggart, on the topic “Is the Bible the Word of God.”

His first lecture was entitled “Muhammad (peace be upon him): Messenger of Peace,” at it was delivered in 1940, to 15 people at a cinema in his province.

Within a short space of time, the numbers grew and people crossed the racial divides which were then prevalent in apartheid South Africa, to listen to him, and to participate in the questions and answers sessions which followed his lectures.

Although some Christians and Muslims felt that his style was blunt, many others reverted to Islam, and Da’wah soon began to dominate his life, with the audiences at his lectures reaching forty thousand.

In 1957, Sheikh Deedat, together with two of his friends, founded the Islamic Propagation Center which printed a variety of books and offered classes to new Muslims.

In 1986, he visited Saudi Arabia for a conference, and in his first television interview, enthralled the Arab world with his dynamic personality and in depth knowledge of comparative religion.

He then visited the United Kingdom, Morocco, Kenya, Sweden, Australia and Denmark on lecture and debating tours.

In the United States, he became famous for a debate with the American Reverend Jimmy Swaggart, witnessed by 8,000 people on the topic “Is the Bible the Word of God.”

On May 3, 1996, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat suffered a stroke which left him paralysed from the neck down, and also meant that he could no longer speak or swallow.

He was flown to a hospital in Riyadh, where he was taught to communicate through a series of eye-movements.

He spent the last nine years of his life in a bed in his home in Verulam, South Africa, encouraging people to engage in Da’wah.

He continued to receive hundreds of letters of support from around the world.

Lurus

Lurus

Semahu itu lurus jalanku
Sedamba itu lurus hatiku
Secuba itu lurus akalku

Bagai serasa mahu
merungkai pakaian dunia ini
mulus menuju
ke arah satu jalan
selurusnya
betul betul
mahu selurusnya

tanpa ada persimpangan
tanpa ada jalan bengkok

nun di sana
ada nur pastinya

nun di sana
ada bahagia janjinya

tapi apakan daya

jalan hidup ini
jarang yg lurus betul
selalunya

kembara lagi kita
menjejak jalan
mencari ihsan
moga sentiasa sasa
bertapak

di jalan lurus itu.

My Beloved

My Beloved

There was a time in my youth,
When Islam was only a custom.
They said, "Say la ilaha illa-llah
And pray you'll go to Heaven."

Ah, how simple, no struggle in this.
Just a word, and simple act.
Thereafter, I'm absorbed in this world again
With my "assured" place in Paradise intact.

But this was not to be my fate
For Allah chose to guide my heart.
I learnt of a man who struggled so hard
When his mission was from the start.

The story of someone who had morals,
Spoke gently; kindness he knew.
Never fearing to say what's right,
His conviction in Islam was true.

The touch of his hand was as soft as silk
To comfort a crying child
To mend his clothes or do the chores,
Never complaining, he always smiled.

His smell was always of musk,
And cleanliness he kept at his best.
Stark contrast with the heroes of today,
Who stink of beer and sweat.

He held the hands of his Companions,
Unashamed to play with many children.
So modest, so humble, a perfect example
That strangers could not recognize him.

His eyes slept little for nights were precious,
His prayers he treasured much greater.
To pray Tahajjud in the depths of night,
Seeking forgiveness, and nearness to his Creator.

He broke his tooth for me at Uhud
And bled for me at Ta'if.
He cried for me, tears of concern,
Just so I could have this belief.

His enemies admired his teachings,
Uniting every religion, every clan.
Till Islam came to every corner of the world,
O, but indeed he was only a man.

To own a house or build his wealth,
Was not his main priority.
To establish Islam was more essential,
To bring us under a higher authority.

Don't you want him to plead for your case
When before Allah the Judge you stand?
Don't you wish to be around his fountain,
A burning desire to drink from his hand?

So I love him more than all creation,
My leader, my humble Prophet.
Muhammad was a mercy to all mankind
And to me he is my beloved.

Jerebu

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Sudah 2 hari jerebu menyerang Kuala Lumpur.

Saat ini,

Pernahkah kita terfikir..

Ttg 'jerebu' di hati-hati kita?

Usaha

Assalamualaikum wbt,

But they are unlikely to happen to us unless biiznillah, and kebanyakan perkara sememangnya memerlukan usaha kita.

To get something, kita kena berusaha, but still we have to decide which approach that is suitable to us according to Islam teachings and guidelines.

Matlamat tak menghalalkan cara, bukan? :)

Mmg ler kecil2 dulu one of my ambitions adalah nak jadi astronaut sbb saya suka sgt dgn astronomy (waktu kekecik dulu kan bebudak suka berangan nak jadi apa yang dirasakan best). Saya mmg teringin nak keje dgn NASA. Tak sangka ler dpt peluang mcm ni.

Anyway, saya mmg takkan pergi pun saringan ni. Giler ker hapa nak berlari sepanjang 3.5 km dlm 20 minit. 1 km pun belum tentu saya lepas dlm 20 minit tu. Lupakan je ler nak achieve that target hehe.

Anyway, at least separuh dr impian saya sewaktu kecil sudah dimakbulkan Allah.

Farah : Weh....betul ker leh jadi angkasawan?..jgn nanti jadi naga sawan laks..ekkeke...nanti leks gi training ala2 NASA ke tuh?...

Ika : baguihlah, jadi angkasawan kwn aku, tak jumpa kluangman.. mana tau dpt star wars-man satu, he he he:D

Siha : Siti, bukan angkawasan malaysia yg pertama dah dipilih? ini batch yg ke 2 ka?

Jie : siti gudlak...nanti sampai kat angkasa lepas tuh teropong2 la sikit kat bumi nih...gerenti kau nampak aku tgh melambai2 tangan kat kau...:P

Ayat Jie mmg buat saya gelak betul lepas baca e mail dia. Comel2 kan geng2 saya? Hehe :D

Cat Stevens- How I Came to Islam

Assalamualaikum wbt,

All I have to say is all what you know already, to confirm what you already know, the message of the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) as given by God - the Religion of Truth. As human beings we are given a consciousness and a duty that has placed us at the top of creation. Man is created to be God's deputy on earth, and it is important to realize the obligation to rid ourselves of all illusions and to make our lives a preparation for the next life. Anybody who misses this chance is not likely to be given another, to be brought back again and again, because it says in Qur'an Majeed that when man is brought to account, he will say, {O Lord, send us back and give us another chance} The Lord will say, {If I send you back you will do the same}

MY EARLY RELIGIOUS UPBRINGING
I was brought up in the modern world of all the luxury and the high life of show business. I was born in a Christian home, but we know that every child is born in his original nature - it is only his parents that turn him to this or that religion. I was given this religion (Christianity) and thought this way. I was taught that God exists, but there was no direct contact with God, so we had to make contact with Him through Jesus - he was in fact the door to God. This was more or less accepted by me, but I did not swallow it all.

I looked at some of the statues of Jesus; they were just stones with no life. And when they said that God is three, I was puzzled even more but could not argue. I more or less believed it, because I had to have respect for the faith of my parents.

POP STAR
Gradually I became alienated from this religious upbringing. I started making music. I wanted to be a big star. All those things I saw in the films and on the media took hold of me, and perhaps I thought this was my God, the goal of making money. I had an uncle who had a beautiful car. "Well," I said, "he has it made. He has a lot of money." The people around me influenced me to think that this was it; this world was their God.

I decided then that this was the life for me; to make a lot of money, have a 'great life.' Now my examples were the pop stars. I started making songs, but deep down I had a feeling for humanity, a feeling that if I became rich I would help the needy. (It says in the Qur'an, we make a promise, but when we make something, we want to hold onto it and become greedy.)

So what happened was that I became very famous. I was still a teenager, my name and photo were splashed in all the media. They made me larger than life, so I wanted to live larger than life and the only way to do that was to be intoxicated (with liquor and drugs).

IN HOSPITAL
After a year of financial success and 'high' living, I became very ill, contracted TB and had to be hospitalized. It was then that I started to think: What was to happen to me? Was I just a body, and my goal in life was merely to satisfy this body? I realized now that this calamity was a blessing given to me by Allah, a chance to open my eyes - "Why am I here? Why am I in bed?" - and I started looking for some of the answers. At that time there was great interest in the Eastern mysticism. I began reading, and the first thing I began to become aware of was death, and that the soul moves on; it does not stop. I felt I was taking the road to bliss and high accomplishment. I started meditating and even became a vegetarian. I now believed in 'peace and flower power,' and this was the general trend. But what I did believe in particular was that I was not just a body. This awareness came to me at the hospital.

One day when I was walking and I was caught in the rain, I began running to the shelter and then I realized, 'Wait a minute, my body is getting wet, my body is telling me I am getting wet.' This made me think of a saying that the body is like a donkey, and it has to be trained where it has to go. Otherwise, the donkey will lead you where it wants to go.

Then I realized I had a will, a God-given gift: follow the will of God. I was fascinated by the new termino- logy I was learning in the Eastern religion. By now I was fed up with Christianity. I started making music again and this time I started reflecting my own thoughts. I remember the lyric of one of my songs. It goes like this: "I wish I knew, I wish I knew what makes the Heaven, what makes the Hell. Do I get to know You in my bed or some dusty cell while others reach the big hotel?" and I knew I was on the Path.

I also wrote another song, "The Way to Find God Out." I became even more famous in the world of music. I really had a difficult time because I was getting rich and famous, and at the same time, I was sincerely searching for the Truth. Then I came to a stage where I decided that Buddhism is all right and noble, but I was not ready to leave the world. I was too attached to the world and was not prepared to become a monk and to isolate myself from society.

I tried Zen and Ching, numerology, tarot cards and astrology. I tried to look back into the Bible and could not find anything. At this time I did not know anything about Islam, and then, what I regarded as a miracle occurred. My brother had visited the mosque in Jerusalem and was greatly impressed that while on the one hand it throbbed with life (unlike the churches and synagogues which were empty), on the other hand, an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity prevailed.

THE QUR'AN
When he came to London he brought back a translation of the Qur'an, which he gave to me. He did not become a Muslim, but he felt something in this religion, and thought I might find something in it also.

And when I received the book, a guidance that would explain everything to me - who I was; what was the purpose of life; what was the reality and what would be the reality; and where I came from - I realized that this was the true religion; religion not in the sense the West understands it, not the type for only your old age. In the West, whoever wishes to embrace a religion and make it his only way of life is deemed a fanatic. I was not a fanatic, I was at first confused between the body and the soul. Then I realized that the body and soul are not apart and you don't have to go to the mountain to be religious. We must follow the will of God. Then we can rise higher than the angels. The first thing I wanted to do now was to be a Muslim.

I realized that everything belongs to God, that slumber does not overtake Him. He created everything. At this point I began to lose the pride in me, because hereto I had thought the reason I was here was because of my own greatness. But I realized that I did not create myself, and the whole purpose of my being here was to submit to the teaching that has been perfected by the religion we know as Al-Islam. At this point I started discovering my faith. I felt I was a Muslim. On reading the Qur'an, I now realized that all the Prophets sent by God brought the same message. Why then were the Jews and Christians different? I know now how the Jews did not accept Jesus as the Messiah and that they had changed His Word. Even the Christians misunderstand God's Word and called Jesus the son of God. Everything made so much sense. This is the beauty of the Qur'an; it asks you to reflect and reason, and not to worship the sun or moon but the One Who has created everything. The Qur'an asks man to reflect upon the sun and moon and God's creation in general. Do you realize how different the sun is from the moon? They are at varying distances from the earth, yet appear the same size to us; at times one seems to overlap the other.

Even when many of the astronauts go to space, they see the insignificant size of the earth and vastness of space. They become very religious, because they have seen the Signs of Allah.

When I read the Qur'an further, it talked about prayer, kindness and charity. I was not a Muslim yet, but I felt that the only answer for me was the Qur'an, and God had sent it to me, and I kept it a secret. But the Qur'an also speaks on different l I began to understand it on anothlevel, where the Qur'an says, {Those who believe do not take disbelievers for friends and the believers are brothers} Thus at this point I wished to meet my Muslim brothers.

CONVERSION
Then I decided to journey to Jerusalem (as my brother had done). At Jerusalem, I went to the mosque and sat down. A man asked me what I wanted. I told him I was a Muslim. He asked what was my name. I told him, "Stevens." He was confused. I then joined the prayer, though not so successfully. Back in London, I met a sister called Nafisa. I told her I wanted to embrace Islam and she directed me to the New Regent Mosque. This was in 1977, about one and a half years after I received the Qur'an.

Now I realized that I must get rid of my pride, get rid of Iblis, and face one direction. So on a Friday, after Jumma' I went to the Imam and declared my faith (the Kalima) at this hands. You have before you someone who had achieved fame and fortune. But guidance was something that eluded me, no matter how hard I tried, until I was shown the Qur'an. Now I realize I can get in direct contact with God, unlike Christianity or any other religion. As one Hindu lady told me, "You don't understand the Hindus. We believe in one God; we use these objects (idols) to merely concentrate." What she was saying was that in order to reach God, one has to create associates, that are idols for the purpose. But Islam removes all these barriers. The only thing that moves the believers from the disbelievers is the salat. This is the process of purification.

Finally I wish to say that everything I do is for the pleasure of Allah and pray that you gain some inspirations from my experiences. Furthermore, I would like to stress that I did not come into contact with any

Muslim before I embraced Islam. I read the Qur'an first and realized that no person is perfect. Islam is perfect, and if we imitate the conduct of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) we will be successful. May Allah give us guidance to follow the path of the ummah of Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). Ameen!

Ketika itu saya sedang membaca Quran selepas solat, dan kemudian saya terjumpa dengan kalimah Ahsan (yg kelakarnya my senior pun nama Ahsan gak, but during this time mmg tak kenal dia sgt, tau nama jek).

Ahsan...mengambil kata root word Hassan yang bermaksud baik.

Ketika terjumpa itu, saya tiba-tiba tertanya dlm hati apakah kebaikan yg pernah saya lakukan selama saya hidup 18 tahun di dunia ketika itu.

Nothing rasanya.

Wassalam.

Yang lembut fitrah tercipta,

penyimpan mashaf pertama kalamullah ...

seorang gadis itu ...

bisa setabah Maryam,
meski dicaci meski dikeji,
itu hanya cerca manusia,
namun sucinya ALLah memuji ...

seperti Fatimah kudusnya,
meniti hidup seadanya,
puteri Rasulullah ...
kesayangan ayahanda,
suaminya si panglima agama,
di belakangnya dialah pelita,
cahya penerang segenap rumahnya,
ummi tersayang cucunda Baginda ...

bisa dia segagah Nailah,
dengan dua tangan
tegar melindung khalifah,
meski akhirnya bermandi darah,
meski akhirnya khalifah rebah,
syaheed menyahut panggilan Allah .

seorang gadis itu ...

perlu ada yang membela,
agar ia terdidik jiwa,
agar ia terpelihara ...

dengan kenal Rabbnya,
dengan cinta Rasulnya ...

dengan yakin Deennya,
dengan teguh áqidahnya,
dengan utuh cinta yang terutama,
Allah jua RasulNya,
dalam ketaatan penuh setia .
pemelihara maruah dirinya,
agama, keluarga & ummahnya ...

seorang gadis itu ...

melenturnya perlu kasih sayang,
membentuknya perlu kebijaksanaan,
kesabaran dan kemaafan,
keyakinan & penghargaan,
tanpa jemu & tanpa bosan,
memimpin tangan, menunjuk jalan ...

seorang gadis itu ...

yang hidup di alaf ini,
gadis akhir zaman,
era hidup perlu berdikari ...

dirinya terancam dek fitnah,
sucinya perlu tabah,
cintanya tak boleh berubah,
tak bisa terpadam dek helah,
dek keliru fikir jiwanya,
kerna dihambur ucapkata nista,
hanya kerana dunia memperdaya ...

kerna seorang gadis itu,
yang hidup di zaman ini ...

perlu teguh kakinya,
mantap iman mengunci jiwanya,
dari lemah & kalah,
dalam pertarungan yang lama ...
dari rebah & salah,
dalam perjalanan mengenali Tuhannya,
dalam perjuangan menggapai cinta,
ni'mat hakiki seorang hamba,
dari Tuhan yang menciptakan,
dari Tuhan yang mengurniakan,
seorang gadis itu ...
anugerah istimewa kepada dunia!

seorang gadis itu ...
tinggallah di dunia,
sebagai ábidah,
dahípayah & mujahidah,
pejuang ummah ...
anak ummi & ayah,
muslimah yang solehah ...

kelak jadi ibu,
membentuk anak-anak ummah,
rumahnya taman ilmu,
taman budi & ma'rifatullah ...

seorang gadis itu ...
moga akan pulang,
dalam cinta & dalam sayang,
redha dalam keredhaan,
Tuhan yang menentukan ...
seorang gadis itu dalam kebahagiaan!

Moga lah-Rahman melindungi,
merahmati dan merestui,
perjalanan seorang gadis itu ...
menuju cintaNYA yang ABADI!

Beautiful colors wa As Sajdah

[Sajdah 32:1] Alif-Lam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.)

[Sajdah 32:2] The revelation of the Book is, without doubt, from the Lord Of The Creation.

[Sajdah 32:3] What! They dare say that, “He has fabricated it”? In fact it is the Truth from your Lord, in order that you warn a nation towards whom no Herald of Warning came before you, in the hope of their attaining guidance.

[Sajdah 32:4] It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth, and all what is between them, in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) established Himself over the Throne (of control); leaving Allah, there is neither a friend nor an intercessor for you; so do you not ponder?

[Sajdah 32:5] He plans (all) the job(s) from the heaven to the earth - then it will return to Him on the Day which amounts to a thousand years in your count.

[Sajdah 32:6] This is the All Knowing - of all the hidden and the visible, the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful.

[Sajdah 32:7] The One Who created all things excellent, and Who initiated the creation of man from clay.

[Sajdah 32:8] Then kept his posterity with a part of an abject fluid.

[Sajdah 32:9] Then made him proper and blew into him a spirit from Him, and bestowed ears and eyes and hearts to you; very little thanks do you offer!

[Sajdah 32:10] And they said, “When we have mingled into the earth, will we be created again?”; in fact they disbelieve in the meeting with their Lord.

[Sajdah 32:11] Proclaim, “The angel of death, who is appointed over you, causes you to die and then towards your Lord you will return.”

[Sajdah 32:12] And if you see when the guilty will hang their heads before their Lord; “Our Lord! We have seen and heard, therefore send us back in order that we do good deeds - we are now convinced!”

[Sajdah 32:13] And had We willed We would have given every soul its guidance, but My Word is decreed that I will certainly fill hell with these jinns and men, combined.

[Sajdah 32:14] “Therefore taste the recompense of your forgetting the confronting of this day of yours; We have abandoned you – now taste the everlasting punishment, the recompense of your deeds!”

[Sajdah 32:15] Only those believe in Our signs who, when they are reminded of them, fall down in prostration and proclaim the Purity of their Lord while praising Him, and are not conceited. (Command of prostration # 9).

[Sajdah 32:16] Their sides stay detached from their beds and they pray to their Lord with fear and hope - and they spend from what We have bestowed upon them.

[Sajdah 32:17] So no soul knows the comfort of the eyes that is kept hidden for them *; the reward of their deeds. ( * Paradise)

[Sajdah 32:18] So will the believer ever be equal to the one who is lawless? They are not equal!

[Sajdah 32:19] Those who accepted faith and did good deeds – for them are the Gardens of (everlasting) stay; a welcome in return for what they did.

[Sajdah 32:20] And those who are lawless - their destination is the fire; whenever they wish to come out of it, they will be returned into it, and it will be said to them, “Taste the punishment of the fire you used to deny!”

[Sajdah 32:21] And We shall indeed make them taste the smaller punishment before the greater punishment, so that they may return.

[Sajdah 32:22] And who is more unjust than one who is preached to from the verses his Lord, then he turns away from them? We will indeed take revenge from the guilty.

[Sajdah 32:23] And indeed We bestowed the Book to Moosa, therefore have no doubt in its acquisition, and made it a guidance for the Descendants of Israel.

[Sajdah 32:24] And We made some leaders among them, guiding by Our command, when they had persevered; and they used to accept faith in Our signs.

[Sajdah 32:25] Indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matters in which they used to differ.

[Sajdah 32:26] And did they not obtain guidance by the fact that We did destroy many generations before them, so now they walk in their houses? Indeed in this are signs; so do they not heed?

[Sajdah 32:27] And do they not see that We send the water to the barren land and produce crops with it, so their animals and they themselves eat from it? So do they not perceive?

[Sajdah 32:28] And they say, “When will this decision take place, if you are truthful?”

[Sajdah 32:29] Proclaim, “On the Day of Decision *, the disbelievers will not benefit from their accepting faith, nor will they get respite.” (* Of death or of resurrection)

[Sajdah 32:30] Therefore turn away from them and wait – indeed they too have to wait.

Beautiful colors of pictures, and a very meaningful surah for our tazkeerah.

Subhanallah wa astaghfirullah. May You bestow us with Your maghfirah wa rahmah Ya Allah.

Value of something

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Why did Allah (SWT) create earth in the first place?

We needed to descend to earth because, as human beings, part of our makeup is that we do not realize the value of things unless we strive to get them; and if we get something easily we do not place much value on it, we then tend to give it away easily and will not be able to appreciate the magnificent blessing we have.

We see this example in ourselves and our relatives; your father has emigrated, struggled for 20 years in the Gulf, for example. Then you bought a car, took a ride and crashed it. You would not be as sad as your father would be. If you had been the one who bought it, not him, you would have taken care of it and felt the blessing of having it.

Allah (SWT) wanted us to go down to earth so that we may long to return to the Jannah, realizing its value. Therefore, only believers lived on earth. Why? Because they were the ones who longed for the Jannah; and those who did not, would pass by the hell. They are the ones who, with great difficulty, resist committing a sin when they could have easily done it because they want to please Allah (SWT), whom they cannot see; besides, they want to go to the Jannah.

I ask you by Allah (SWT), if you worked hard in this world, fasted Mondays and Thursdays while the weather was very hot, prayed in the mosque when it was bitter cold, obeyed Allah (SWT) and resisted sins, where would your position be when the doors of the Jannah are being opened? You would enter running and saying, “Is this the Jannah I worked for all my 60 years?” Do you see how delightful this is? This is also Allah's blessing upon us, that He created us with this nature so that we are able to love the Jannah more.

Imagine if you obeyed Allah (SWT) for 20 years and then met Him, what would that moment be like?

Imagine that you are walking along a street, you are tempted to take an unlawful glance; just say to yourself, “No, Allah can see me; I cannot disobey Him while He sees me.” You are about to take forbidden money; say, “I cannot, Allah (SWT) sees me and is watching me right now.” In Surat al-Alaq, Allah (SWT) says what can be translated as, “Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)?” (TMQ, 96: 14), but you do not see Him.

Imagine the Day of Judgment when Allah (SWT) calls out, “Oh my servants! Oh inhabitants of the Jannah! Where are my servants who obeyed me without seeing me? Today is the day of abundance, so ask Me for whatever you want.”

Excerpt taken from one of yahoogroups.

~ ALLAH did not promise that life would be easy, but HE did promise to go with you..every step of your life, with HIM by your side..~

A lovely and very meaningful quotation, isn't it? :)

Anugerah dari Dia

Assalamualaikum wbt,

If Allah loves people He puts them to trial, He tests them and places them in difficulty. Allah the Exalted states in Surah Baqarah : We will test you with something of fear, and hunger and loss of wealth, and souls and vegetation. And give glad tidings to those who have patience. Those who if in any difficulty or trial, or tribulation occurs to them or happens to them, they say: ˜Verily We are from Allah and to Allah we return. They are those who will receive prayers from their Lord and Mercy and it is those who are guided.

Tapi perlu sentiasa diingat:

Surah Al-Ankabut ayat 2-3

:)

Islamic economic reason vs personal dream

Subhanallah. Cantiknya pemandangan dan gambar frozen cherries.

Rasa mcm nak pergi UK sekarang juga.

My friend had came out with an astonishing statement to me when i mentioned that one day i would like to go to UK to further my studies. I never imagined in life that i would be receiving this kind of answer:

"Don't go there, they are kuffar, don't support their economy"

Gulpp..i had learnt in my Economic class that one way to get positive balance of trade for a country is by promoting education as what UK, US, Australia and some other countries including Malaysia are doing.

Nak pergi ker tak nak pergi?

Hmm..kalau nak pergi jugak, boleh, kan? Biasa ler, si Zurina yang keras hati. Iznan faham kot maksud akak, kan Iznan? Kami dari 'generasi pembentukan' yang sama hehe ;)

Please don't get misunderstood of what my friend had commented abt pursuing studies in UK. He was just pointing his opinion based on his observations, and for your info he was a graduate from Univ of Leeds. Therefore i believe his comment was a just and fair opinion from his perspective :)

Tired

Assalamualaikum wbt,

For this one whole week, i was sucked up into tremendous jobs that need my full attention as currently i'm replacing Pn Fida, therefore i'm doing 2 people's jobs rite now. And i'm getting tired actually.

For the first time since i had started working last 3 years, i am having little headache to handle Pn Fida's staff. Susah jugak rupanya nak deal dgn anak2 buah ni :)

For Rollie, sorry for can't make a review for Advancer Si Peniup Ney for you at this moment, this week i had so many things to cater. However, my friend Aida had made a review on this book, please visit this URL if you want to read her review. I believe it can help you to understand the story better :)

http://limaunipis.blogspot.com/2005/07/advencer-si-peniup-ney.html

I have so many things to say, but i just couldn't. Time is too jealous of me, and i had to run to compete with it. Class had started for the past 3 weeks, and so many things had happened within this month. And i could not tell you guys for i had so limited time to do that. I saw Hany and Ika also got very bz as their blogs also were untouched for quite some time. Wish now i am a lecturer instead of an assistant manager (tgk tu, tak bersyukur jek Iena nih, kan? :P)

I hope Kak Fida balik ofis cepat, eventhough i'm enjoying whatever tasks that i need to cater on behalf of her now. Missed her actually.

Salam guys, i'm too tired to continue my writing. I have an assignment to be submitted tomorrow. And 2 presentations to be presented next week.

Pray for my success k.

Waleemah Cpol

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Nothing special to be written in here, except...

Tahniah utk Cpol utk waleemahnya pada Sabtu lepas. Saya hanya dapat tahu pun pada pagi Jumaat di YM (bertuah betul si Cpol nih, inform dah ler lewat, pastu guna YM jek pulak tu hehe).

To my dearest sahabat, Cpol,

Moga berbahagia dunia akhirat bersama zaujah. Pasni anak2 ikan tak leh nak gaduh2 sgt ngan naga ek, nanti zaujah anta jealous pulak. But as what Kak Yumni had said, adeq beradeq takkan putus hubungannya, walau gaduh camner pun :) (sejak biler ibu ana lahirkan anta :P )

This dear friend of mine, where i never meet him after 7 years berpisah walaupun dia di UPM and saya di MMU jek, kampus dekat jek actually ( we had known to each other since 1998 during Program Yayasan Tun Razak), he was my group leader, a funny group leader that we were all anak-anak buah comfortable with. Comel jek pokcik ni, kami panggil dia YB Sikat atau PM (bukti dia giler kuasa sbb kami semua dapat title YB jek, dia nak title yg lebih hebat dr tu, sbb tu dia dapat nick PM --> stands for Prime Minister) meanwhile saya dapat nick YB Panadol sbb saya demam panas ketika di kursus YTR dulu (this explains why i am using iena_panadol for my email address, penat menjawab soalan2 org naper saya guna nick panadol hehe). Kami jadi MPP pada tahun yang sama, patutnya berjumpa ketika kunjungan MPP UPM ke MMU, tapi mmg takde rezeki nak jumpa, sia2 jek kena marah ngan Tuan Presiden sbb Secretary dia ni sanggup tak pi meeting kat Putrajaya semata2 nak jumpa geng lama hehe.

Cpol is a nice person, and i believe his zaujah will happy with him until akhirah sbb pokcik ni selain drpd baik, funny jugak orgnya (tak tau ler pesal dia kata ramai junior takut ngan dia time dia jadi faci). Pasni jgn luper jemput ke majlis anta yer Cpol walaupun ana tak dpt pergi sbb ada komitmen study, apa pun ana doakan anta berbahagia dunia akhirat, insya Allah :)

Pasni tunggu turn Paiji and Ahmad pulak yer ;)

Hehe.

Be grateful, be grateful

Assalamualaikum wbt,

No matter how big your problems are, there are always some bigger problems and difficulties faced by others. And to compare with mine, it was nothing in comparison. Hence, i should be very grateful, right? :)

I had finished reading Advencer Si Peniup Ney.Siapa lagi kalau bukan karangan Faisal Tehrani :) I know2, some of you will ask, apa ler yang best sgt dgn Faisal Tehrani ni?

Pendapat saya mengenai Advencer Si Peniup Ney, cukup ler saya menyatakan bahawa saya sedikit teresak ketika membaca bukunya seorang diri ketika sedang menunggu klinik buka di belah petang.

Cinta Madinah.

Hany, jangan jeles yer, kalau tak sempat lagi nak beli, boleh pinjam buku saya dulu :)

Salam to you guys, terasa hati sedang dilimpahi kegembiraan dan ketenangan sekarang ini.Alhamdulillah :)

Special note to Mudin and Ise, dun dare to make joke of me ya, i know both of you will usik me as cacamarba again. I dun care, kalau usik jugak, akak nak impose denda untuk setiap kali usikan, satu biji strawberry you guys hutang akak hehe. Ni betul nih, accountant bernama Zurina sedang buka buku 555 KHAS untuk you two heheheh :D

Sometimes You Are Up, and Sometimes You Are Down

Sometimes You Are Up, and Sometimes You Are Down

The life cycle of a human being is not definite to what he/she merely wants or need.

The concept is also applies to life experiences, joyness, sadness, gratefulness, or whatsoever 'ness' in life.

Hmm...we should feel bright to stay alive, to cheer ourselves with delicacies of life (mum, dad, siblings, spouse, children, friends, money, time, book, magazines, food, clothes, car), shouldn't we?

:)

We have to admit that we are just beings with so fragile emotions sometimes.

Love, hurt, enjoy, depressed, annoying, cheerful...

Those emotions are those feelings that had made and keep us human..and those are also the ones that differentiate us from creatures so-called 'robot'.

I'm a human.

P/S: This note is written while i'm having this psychological influenced mental illness rite after my one whole day meetings. Hoho.

Wassalam.

IM vs RM

Assalamualaikum wbt,

Maaf kerana dah lama tak update.

(1) Fever & Shopping Spree

Last Thursday i got a fever, managed to get MC but unfortunately i still had to come to work becoz Head of Risk Management need a report urgently from my GM, and my GM was in Terengganu that time.

The next day, i couldn't tahan my demam and took another MC after took an injection for my fever on the same day.

Saturday and Sunday, went to classes (yang sejuk) eventho my demam was not fully recovered. Tapi takpe, my favourite lecturer Prof Mansor ajar Quantitative Decision Making (Ika kata subject ni killer subject), so mcm best jek dok paling depan concentrate dlm kelas dia mengajar. Demi lecturer terchenta, takpelah, pergilah jugak kelas. Hehe, ni niat dah terpesong dah ni, nak pi kelas utk belajar ker atau nak tgk lecturer best?

My answer is: BOTH. Hoho :D (Just kidding)

Lepas kelas hari Ahad, guess where Kak Ika (my classmate) and i were up to?

Shopping. Like nobody business.

Went to Maju Junction for lunch, and then walked to Sogo to buy shoes (i really need black flat heel shoes since my favourite shoes sudah hancur sbb tuan dia pakai ganas sgt, ended up i bought not only 1 but 2 hoho), bought 1 BUM handbag yang mmg mcm menyesal giler kalau tak beli sbb cun giler). Pastu me and Kak Ika walked to Suma House, along the way we went to Reject Shop, luckily nothing interesting in there, so we went out and went into a shop and i bought 2 pants. And lastly we went to Suma House and i bought 2 tudungs. And then we went back to Sogo for solat and back home for good.

I am someone who is very seldom to go for shopping unless there is important stuff that i need to look upon, really2 urgent, let say i need a new shoes or whatsoever. And i was surprised to learn that people get overjoyed while shopping, i think it was becoz of the hectic situations where you could see excited people around you checking and trying things here and there, and also when you see the new, attractive, CHEAP stuff being displayed on the shelves and calling your heart and soul to check them mostly one by one hehe.

From my 'experiment' on last Sunday, I would say if you feel sick, go and take a walk for shopping, and i tell ya that actually shopping has this kind of 'HEALING EFFECT' on body i think, becoz i was quite forgot that i was sick during the shopping session and successfully toured several shopping complexes in one day. And it's good if you dun bring your PURSE along especially when it comes to any shopping spree (unpaid advice from me hehe). Or else, you will start scratching your wallet here and there whenever your eyes and heart tell your mind 'I NEED THIS ITEM, HERE, THERE, I NEED THEM ALL!!' once you enter the excitement feeling of shopping. Seriously.

Mind you, if you are not enggaged or get married to anak Dato', Tan Sri or whosoever, it is dangerous if you are trapped into this situation.

Morale of the story, please scrunitize your spending wisely. Very very wisely.

Yesterday i replaced my cuti on Friday, and today i come to work with nafas pendek2. Bestnya kalau boleh cuti lama-lama kat umah hehe.

(2) Industry Model (IM) vs Resource based Model (RM)

We had an argument in our Corporate Policy and Management Strategy class last Sunday with our Prof. I highlighted that in today's economics worldviews, most of the business entities today are more heading to IM rather than RB. This is because whenever you want to produce a product, you need to make a survey what market wants and need, assemble the necessary resources and then only come out with output/product. So there are influences from industry when it comes for us to decide which model we want to opt for a business. RM vice versa is where you assemble your resources, come out with product and then only you offer to the market.

The question is, will the market accept our product especially if that product is not needed from their point of view, in case if we want to chose the RM concept?

Look into our world today. Look into Islam situation today.

Can we translate the business analogy up there into what we are dealing nowadays?

Islam from time to time is squeezed into a situation where we need to prescribe whatever dimensions or guidelines from other people(the kaafirun). From time to time, if we dun stand up, we were like those business entities who are limited to what the market need (in this case, our world need) and not on what we want to offer. Let say if the US say "No, we don't need Islam, let's abolish it or else we should re-design them to suit what the world want them to be". Bahaya tak? That's why we need to assemble our resources, come out with a product and offer them as wide as possible.

Sometimes i think we have to think like a businessman to promote Islam. Try to imagine Islam is a product, and we should think on how to select our business type, how should we promote the product, identify the necessary value added features to be added on (yang tak bersalahan dgn agama), the beauty and the benefits of using our product. Select the most effective marketing programs, promotions and post sale services. Best jugak, kan? :).

We should do that i think.

(3) Approach of da'wah

Last Saturday menyaksikan I argued with a taxi driver yang berkata kita kena guna approach yang diajar Rasulullah sahaja ketika berdakwah. Tak boleh guna approach lain, especially by Christians or Jewish (yang pegi bagi financial support kat orang miskin and guna method mcm MLM utk convert org Islam ke Kristian, mungkin agak extreme approachnya, but hello, you are given 'aqal to think rite, i dun think there is harm to consider the options rather than do nothing). For me yes, correct kita kena ikut cara Rasulullah, but if you think in addition there are ways to promote Islam better where di zaman Rasulullah dulu takde, apply jer ler. Time tu rasa mcm nak berdebat jek (actually dah berdebat dah pun tapi sket jek sebab teringat tak tau hadith ker apa yang kalau boleh elakkan berdebat walaupun kita rasa kita betul). Perhaps i'm not that well versed with agama, but for me as long the approaches tak bersalahan dengan agama, and ketika zaman Rasulullah dulu tak digunapakai tapi kita guna kat zaman ni, tak kisah ler, boleh jek apply. Camner nak maju? if you guys have other arguments, let's table it and discuss together keh. Mana tau my opinion ni tak valid :D

Ok guys, jumpa lagi. Doakan saya sembuh k.

Wassalam.
